The weather is cold so be sure to wear that extra thermal and maybe pack a flask. Set of poogies are very good idea also.
And as always be safe out there!!!
The Liffey Descent will be on the 4th October this year. If you are not taking part and have a spare hour or two to help out at Lucan weir please let us know here
Rescue crews this year will get the usual benefits including t-shirt, food and event after party access.
Nope its not about breaking into and out of the eddy’s at sluice, this is people breaking into your car.
The evenings are starting to get dark a bit earlier now so there seems to be an increase in the number of break-ins to cars parked in the sluice carpark.
Please be careful, don’t leave valuables on display and make sure you keep an eye out for suspicious people hanging around. Do not engage them, simply call the Garda.
Yup its that time of year again. Its been a nice warm summer but that water is starting to get cold again.
In that case pop along to our pool session taking place in the newly opened Ballyfermot Leisure Centre.
Sessions begin next Tuesday September 23, 2014 from 8-9pm, €5 per session
Sorry about the short notice guys but it’s that time of year again …… Junior Paddlefest 2014 is being held on 19, 20 & 21 September at Hidden Valley Campsite, Rathdrum Co. Wicklow.
Junior Paddlefest is now the largest junior event on the Irish Canoeing calendar and as of last year.
It tries to let juniors try out all the different kayaking disciplines in a safe and fun way.
If you are not registered already, there are still some spots left.

If you haven’t been out for a while now is a great time to get together over a pint and at least talk about paddling. 🙂
